Court of Justice Highlights Crisis in Gaza

South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Naledi Pandor, has spoken out about the interim injunction decision taken by the International Court of Justice regarding Israel.
Pandor emphasized the importance of carefully reading the convention against genocide and stated that the court’s decision would not be valid without a ceasefire. She called for the United Nations to now follow this decision and urged for peaceful resolutions to conflicts, rather than relying on weapons.
Expressing hope for a two-state solution, Pandor stated that if Israel were to implement the decisions of the Court of Justice, it would give hope for the future. She also urged for Israel to comply with these decisions and emphasized the importance of considering the impact on the people in Gaza.
Pandor underlined that the Court of Justice now highlights the dire situation in Gaza, and expressed her hope for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.
