Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz Focuses on Serving the Nation and Solving Issues
At the recent “Maraş Meeting” event, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz emphasized the government’s commitment to serving the nation and addressing the challenges faced by the people. Yılmaz expressed his dedication to creating a more prosperous and better environment for the citizens, stating that any contribution made towards this goal brings them happiness.
During the meeting, various important topics were discussed, including the electricity issue. Yılmaz highlighted the productive discussions held under the leadership of President Ersin Tatar, where short, medium, and long-term solutions were presented by the Energy Ministry delegation sent to the TRNC. Steps have already been taken to address the identified problems, with more actions planned within a specific timeframe.
Yılmaz emphasized the significance of the energy sector, noting that improvements in electricity supply are crucial both socially and economically. He revealed that while short-term measures are being implemented, the long-term solution lies in upgrading the infrastructure with cables, a project that is already in progress.
The Vice President also touched upon recent protocols signed to enhance cooperation between the TRNC and Turkey, particularly in areas such as healthcare and social rights for veterans and martyrs’ families. Yılmaz reaffirmed Turkey’s unwavering support for the TRNC’s government policies, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration in areas of economic and social development.
Moreover, Yılmaz acknowledged the TRNC’s history of peace and stability over the past 50 years since the Peace Operation, highlighting the sacrifices made to maintain the region’s peaceful coexistence. He emphasized the importance of recognizing the TRNC as a sovereign state in any future resolution discussions, emphasizing the need for equality, justice, and fairness.
