Crime Syndicate Manager Ayhan Bora Kaplan Arrested in Hungary
MİT and the Ministry of Internal Affairs work together to capture fugitive involved in criminal organization
In a joint effort, Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs successfully located and captured fugitive Serdar Sertçelik, who is a key witness and defendant in the investigation against the Ayhan Bora Kaplan criminal organization. Initially believed to be hiding in Paris, MİT determined that Sertçelik was actually in Montenegro.
Upon discovery of his whereabouts, the information was immediately shared with the Ministry of Justice, leading to Interpol issuing a “Red Notice and Search Warrant” against Sertçelik. Determined not to let him slip away, authorities took swift action to bring him to justice.
Fleeing from Montenegro to Hungary via Serbia, Sertçelik was apprehended at the Hungarian border with a fake Georgian passport in his possession. The Ministry of Justice wasted no time in initiating the extradition process for the individual, ensuring that he faces the consequences of his actions.
This successful operation demonstrates the strong collaboration between different Turkish authorities in tackling organized crime and bringing fugitives to account for their crimes. The capture of Serdar Sertçelik serves as a reminder that no one is above the law, and justice will prevail against those who seek to evade it.
