
CTP Names Şahali as New Secretary General

Erkut Şahali Elected as Secretary General of Republican Turkish Party
Erkut Şahali has been elected as the Secretary General of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), following a meeting of the Party Assembly at the CTP Headquarters. The Party Assembly also selected Asım Akansoy and Sıla Usar İncirli as party spokespeople.
The decision was made at the New Party Assembly meeting, marking the first time the Secretary General was chosen since the congress. A competition ensued between Asım Akansoy, Erkut Şahali, and Sıla Usar İncirli for the Secretary General position, with Sıla Usar İncirli and Erkut Şahali advancing to the second round. Ultimately, Erkut Şahali emerged victorious and was elected as the Secretary General.
Following the election of the Secretary General, the election of the Central Board of Directors was also conducted during the meeting.
Erkut Şahali’s appointment marks a significant development within the CTP, and his leadership is expected to bring new direction and vision to the party. The selection of Asım Akansoy and Sıla Usar İncirli as party spokespeople further strengthens the party’s communication and representation capabilities.
