Cutting-Edge Armored Vehicle Enhances Defense Forces
Hungary Receives Another Lynx KF41 Infantry Fighting Vehicle
The Hungarian Defense Forces have recently welcomed another Lynx KF41 infantry fighting vehicle from the German factory to the Kinizsi Pál 30th Armored Infantry Brigade in Hódmezővásárhely, as announced by the Minister of Defense on Facebook. This new arrival marks an important step in modernizing and strengthening the country’s military capabilities.
Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky highlighted the growing interest from various countries in acquiring these advanced combat vehicles. He emphasized the significance of Hungary not only being a customer but also becoming a manufacturer of the Lynx KF41, showcasing the country’s commitment to enhancing its defense capabilities.
In addition to the new Lynx, the Defense Forces have been actively using the existing combat vehicles in live-fire exercises. The soldiers of the Kinizsi Pál 30th Armored Infantry Brigade will engage in dynamic and static training exercises with the Lynx KF-41s in Táborfalva for three weeks, demonstrating the vehicle’s capabilities and the skills of the military personnel.
The Lynx KF41, weighing 49 tons and measuring 8.49 meters in length, is operated by a three-man crew and can transport up to eight infantry soldiers. The vehicle is designed with enhanced protection features, including resistance to various types of ammunition, mines, and explosives. Its advanced armor and passive protection systems ensure the safety of the crew and passengers in combat situations.
As part of the ongoing fleet modernization efforts across Europe, Hungary has chosen the German Rheinmetall Landsysteme Lynx KF41 to strengthen its defense capabilities. The Lynx KF41’s advanced features and capabilities make it a valuable asset for the Hungarian Defense Forces, enhancing their operational effectiveness and readiness.
