Da Vinci’s Masterpiece Draws 3,300 Visitors in Four Days
The National Museum of Kazakhstan has been buzzing with excitement as over 6,000 visitors have poured in over the span of just four days. Among these visitors, 3,300 came specifically to see Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece “La Bella Principessa,” which is being exhibited in the country for the first time ever, as reported by the museum’s press service on June 12.
The exhibition of Leonardo da Vinci’s works has become a vibrant event in Kazakhstan’s cultural scene, drawing massive public interest. “La Bella Principessa” has previously been displayed only five times worldwide, making this viewing opportunity a rare and cherished experience for art enthusiasts.
One such enthusiast, artist Oksana Kaliakperova, traveled all the way from Ust-Kamenogorsk to Astana just to witness the exhibition firsthand. She described the experience as transformative, with the addition of musical and visual accompaniments adding an extra layer of depth and immersion to the viewing.
The exhibition, featuring immersive technologies, is being held in the Multimedia Hall on the fourth floor of the National Museum from June 7 to Aug. 4. To ensure the safety of visitors, June 25 and July 30 have been designated as sanitary days.
In addition to the exhibition, the museum has announced a special lecture by fine art expert Olga Baturina on the art of Leonardo da Vinci, scheduled to take place on June 23. This educational event promises to provide insights and deeper understanding of the renowned artist’s works.
