Daredevil Crosses the Danube on Tightrope

Hungarian stunt artist László Simet Jr. amazed crowds by walking across a wire suspended 40 metres above the Danube river without using any safety measures. The stretch of the river between the Elisabeth and Liberty bridges in Budapest saw Simet walk 300 metres. The unique production was part of the opening event of the 10th International Theater Olympics, celebrating the 150th anniversary of Budapest and joining World Circus Day. The event will bring together 400 companies from 58 countries, and will feature 750 productions and 7,500 performers. The programs will take place in almost 100 venues across Hungary until 1 July.
