TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions: Tourism Technologies Competition Invites Innovative Ideas for 2025
TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions, the renowned aviation, space, and technology festival, will be held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in 2025. The festival aims to bring together technology and innovation enthusiasts through various competitions. One of the most anticipated competitions is the “Tourism Technologies Competition,” organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey.
This competition invites high school and university students, as well as graduates, from Turkey, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), and around the world to share their innovative ideas. The main objective of the competition is to contribute to the sustainable development of the country by using smart information technologies to enhance cultural heritage and tourism potential.
Participants in the Tourism Technologies Competition will have the opportunity to design projects that make the cultural heritage of Türkiye and TRNC more accessible. Additionally, the competition aims to generate innovative ideas that will accelerate digital transformation in the tourism sector. Projects targeting the enrichment of cultural riches and tourism potential, both locally and internationally, are highly encouraged.
The competition will be held in two main categories, with substantial cash prizes for the winners. High school level winners will receive 70 thousand TL for the first prize, 60 thousand TL for the second prize, and 50 thousand TL for the third prize. University level and above winners will receive 80 thousand TL for the first prize, 70 thousand TL for the second prize, and 60 thousand TL for the third prize.
The application period for the Tourism Technologies Competition ends on January 15. Young individuals who are passionate about contributing to the digital transformation of the culture and tourism sector are encouraged to apply.
