Deadly Domestic Dispute: Teenage Girlfriend and Mother Shot by Boyfriend
A tragic incident occurred yesterday in Yurtoğlu District, where a man shot his 17-year-old girlfriend and her mother after being denied permission to marry her. The suspect, identified as Yunus K., allegedly carried out the attack with the help of his relative HK, targeting the mother, D.Ş., who opposed the relationship.
The mother and daughter sustained serious injuries from the gunshot wounds and were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. However, their conditions were reported to be life-threatening, raising concerns about their survival.
Following the incident, law enforcement authorities launched a thorough investigation, involving units such as the Public Security Branch Directorate’s Homicide Bureau, Crime Analysis Bureau, and Intelligence Branch Directorate. Through coordinated efforts, the suspects were traced to a forest in Karabakh, leading to the arrest of Yunus K. and HK. The weapon used in the crime was also confiscated during the operation.
Both suspects were taken into custody and later appeared in court, where they were formally charged and arrested in connection with the shooting. The community has been shocked and saddened by this senseless act of violence, and authorities are working diligently to ensure that justice is served for the victims and their families.
