Israeli Drone Targets Vehicle in Jenin, Killing Two Palestinians
A deadly attack carried out by Israel using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) targeted a vehicle in Battiha Square in the city of Jenin. The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed in a statement that two Palestinians were killed in the vehicle bombing and their bodies were brought to Jenin Hospital.
This incident adds to the rising death toll of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem at the hands of Israeli soldiers and settlers. Since October 7, 2023, a total of 635 Palestinians have lost their lives in attacks by Israeli forces.
Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee claimed that the attack was conducted against a terrorist cell in Jenin. Israeli army radio further alleged that the targeted vehicle was carrying four armed individuals.
The ongoing cycle of violence in the region continues to escalate tensions between Israelis and Palestinians, with each side claiming self-defense and retaliation for past aggression. The international community remains divided on how to bring about a peaceful resolution to the long-standing conflict.
