Neglect that kills in Adana!
In a tragic incident in Adana, an elderly couple lost their lives due to poisoning from carbon monoxide gas leaking from their stove. 68-year-old Ömer Faruk Koçak and his 64-year-old wife, Semiha Koçak, were found by their son Soner Koçak in their home in the Barış District of Central Seyhan. Soner discovered his parents lying motionless in the living room, with blood coming from their mouths. He immediately called emergency services, but sadly, it was too late.
It was determined that the couple had been poisoned by carbon monoxide gas that leaked from their stove during the night. Ömer Faruk Koçak had noticed the day before that the stove pipe was clogged, but unfortunately, he did not clean it in time. Tragically, he had told his wife that he would do it the next day.
After the police investigation, the bodies of Ömer Faruk Koçak and Semiha Koçak were taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy. This heartbreaking incident serves as a reminder of the importance of proper maintenance of household appliances and the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning.
