Death Toll from Hunger and Thirst in Gaza Rises to 25

The Gaza Strip is facing a dire situation as the number of deaths due to hunger and thirst continues to rise. Ashraf al-Qudra, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, reported that a 20-year-old woman and a 2-month-old baby have recently died from malnutrition and dehydration. This brings the total number of deaths from hunger and thirst to 25, a shocking increase that highlights the severity of the famine in the region.
According to the United Nations, 2.2 million people in Gaza are at risk of famine, with hundreds of thousands facing levels of hunger classified as “catastrophic” or “emergency”. The ongoing attacks by Israel have exacerbated the food crisis in Gaza, pushing more and more people into starvation.
The situation in Gaza is becoming increasingly desperate, with the Ministry of Health warning that the region is on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe. Immediate action is needed to address the root causes of the famine and ensure that the people of Gaza have access to essential food and resources to survive. The international community must step up and provide aid to prevent further loss of life in Gaza.
