Death toll from Israel massacre of Palestinians rises to 48,319
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has provided an update on the casualties following the recent attacks by the Israeli army despite the ceasefire and captive exchange agreement reached between Israel and Hamas on January 19th.
In the last 24 hours, 22 individuals were rescued from the rubble while 16 wounded individuals were found among the deceased. The total number of Palestinians who have lost their lives in the attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, until the ceasefire was established, has reached 48,319, with the number of wounded individuals rising to 111,749.
Despite the agreement with Hamas, Israel has continued to violate the ceasefire in Gaza, causing further harm and loss of life. Munir al-Burş, the General Manager of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, reported that 92 Palestinians have been killed in the attacks on the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire was implemented.
The situation in Gaza remains dire as the cycle of violence and destruction persists, highlighting the urgent need for a lasting and sustainable solution to the ongoing conflict.
