Death toll in Israeli attacks on Gaza rises to 48,405
Following the recent attacks by the Israeli army in Gaza, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has provided an update on the casualties and injuries. Despite a ceasefire and captive exchange agreement reached between Israel and Hamas on January 19th, the violence has continued.
In the past 24 hours alone, 8 bodies were recovered from the rubble of hospitals in Gaza, while 11 people were reported injured. The total number of Palestinians who have lost their lives in the attacks since October 7th, 2023, until the ceasefire was implemented, has reached 48,405, with 111,835 others wounded.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that despite the ceasefire, Israel has continued to violate the agreement. Since the ceasefire was established, 116 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, bringing the total number of casualties to 490.
The situation remains tense in Gaza as both sides struggle to uphold the ceasefire agreement. The international community is closely monitoring the situation and calling for an end to the violence to prevent further loss of life.
