Death Toll Rises to 10 in Israeli Attack on Southern Lebanon
A tragic air attack in Sayda district of Lebanon has left 10 people, including 4 children, dead according to local sources. The attack targeted a civilian settlement without any prior warning, causing extensive damage to many buildings in the area. As a result, people residing in the damaged buildings had to be evacuated for their safety.
One resident, Lebanese Shalan ez-Zeyn, shared his harrowing experience of the attack. He mentioned hearing 3 explosions at noon followed by household items falling on them. His mother and sister sustained minor injuries, while other individuals in neighboring buildings were not as fortunate, with some being injured or losing their lives.
Zeyn expressed his dismay at the lack of warning before the attack, criticizing the perpetrators for their cowardly and murderous actions. He compared the incident to similar attacks in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iraq, stating that this behavior has been consistent throughout history.
The Ministry of Health had previously reported 8 fatalities and 25 injuries from the attack in Sayda district. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the devastating impact of such indiscriminate acts of violence on innocent civilians.
