Israel’s Ongoing Attacks on Lebanon Leave Dozens Dead and Injured
In a recent statement released by the Disaster Management Unit of the Lebanese government, details were provided regarding Israel’s continued assaults on Lebanon.
The statement revealed that the Israeli army conducted 153 airstrikes across various regions of Lebanon just yesterday, resulting in the deaths of 37 individuals and causing injuries to 151 others.
The total number of casualties from Israel’s attacks on Lebanon since October 8 has now risen to 2,011 deaths and 9,535 injuries, according to the report.
Moreover, the statement highlighted that the total number of displaced individuals seeking shelter in 931 designated centers across the country has surged to 172,100 people.
Since October 8, 2023, the Israeli army has been engaged in controlled skirmishes with Hezbollah along the Lebanon-Israel border. The conflict escalated when the army destroyed Hezbollah’s communication devices on September 17-18 and launched air raids on southern Lebanese cities, as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions on September 23.
Furthermore, on September 30, the Israeli army initiated limited and intense ground offensives targeting Hezbollah’s infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
The situation remains dire as the violence continues to escalate, leaving a trail of devastation and loss in its wake. International efforts are being made to address the conflict and prevent further bloodshed in the region.
