Defeating a Hateful Government: Insight from Péter Magyar on Winning the Next Election

The leader of the opposition Tisza Party, Peter Hungarian, has declared that the current government, led by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, can be defeated in the upcoming election. In a statement to MTI, Hungarian criticized Orbán for resorting to divisive tactics and neglecting the right to assembly.
Hungarian stated that the economy is in a critical state and public support for the government is plummeting. He accused Orbán of inciting hatred and sowing divisions in order to maintain power. Hungarian emphasized that Tisza aims to build a country where Hungarians are allies rather than enemies, promoting cooperation over hatred.
According to Hungarian, the only way to restore freedom is through elections. Tisza plans to end the Orbán-Gyurcsány era and protect the right to assembly for all citizens. Hungarian expressed confidence that the Tisza government will work towards peace, happiness, and freedom for all Hungarians.
Hungarian also criticized recent amendments to the assembly law, claiming that they were meant to distract from the struggles faced by millions of Hungarians. He reassured the public that change is on the horizon and that the Tisza government will prioritize the well-being of all citizens.
As the election approaches, Hungarian’s statements underscore the growing opposition to the incumbent government and the determination of Tisza to bring about change in Hungary.
