Delegation Transfers to Adıyaman for Isias Trial

The trial of the 11 defendants in the case of the collapsed Isias Hotel in Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş, is set to begin tomorrow. The collapse occurred during the earthquakes on February 6 and tragically became the grave of 72 people, including 35 Turkish Cypriot athletes and teachers.

A large delegation, particularly comprising families of the victims, traveled to Gaziantep today to proceed to Adıyaman for the cases which are scheduled to be discussed at Adıyaman 3rd High Criminal Court between January 3-5.

The delegation included the families, Minister of Internal Affairs Dursun Oğuz, Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Hüseyin Çavuş, UBP Secretary General and Chairman of the Parliamentary Research Committee Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, and main opposition Republican Turkish Party Chairman Tufan Erhürman, among others.

After arriving in Gaziantep in the morning, the delegation continued on to Adıyaman via buses organized by the Prime Ministry.

The families of the victims expressed their desire for justice and pledged to closely follow the case process. They are determined to seek justice for their loved ones and are accompanied by a team of lawyers, journalists, and various political figures.

As the trial is set to commence, the families hope that justice will be served for the victims of this tragic event.
