Deputy Interior Minister Turan Addresses Iğdır Residents
Bülent Turan, Deputy Minister of Interior, visited Iğdır and participated in the opening of the “80th year Police Memorial Forest” at the Iğdır Special Operations Center, where he also planted saplings. Following this, Turan met with Governor Ercan Turan and held a meeting with the supervisors at the Governor’s Meeting Hall.
During his visit, Turan also inspected the Animal Nursing House, a project carried out in cooperation with the municipality of Iğdır. In his speech, Turan congratulated the Turkish Police Organization on its 180th anniversary and emphasized the importance of their visit to Iğdır.
Expressing gratitude for the work being done in Iğdır, Turan highlighted the significance of the ongoing efforts to address issues such as street animals and public safety. He emphasized the need for strict enforcement of laws to ensure the safety and well-being of society, stating that the government is committed to addressing issues like child mortality, traffic accidents, and terrorism.
Turan stressed that security is a fundamental responsibility of the state, and that measures must be taken to prevent problems such as the presence of street animals. He mentioned the importance of proactive measures such as cultivation, neutering, and rehabilitation to address the issue effectively.
Furthermore, Turan underscored the importance of collaboration between municipalities and other institutions to tackle the problem of street animals in a comprehensive manner. He expressed hope that the initiatives taken in Iğdır would serve as a model for other provinces in Turkey.
