Detainee count in Narin investigation increases to 24
Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc has provided an update on the investigation into the tragic death of Narin Güran. The autopsy, conducted by forensic medicine experts at the Diyarbakır Forensic Medicine Institute, has been completed after a thorough examination of tissue samples.
The report on the exact cause of death will be prepared after further examinations by the Diyarbakır Forensic Medicine Group Presidency and the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute Presidency. As the investigation progresses, additional individuals have been detained, bringing the total number of detainees to 24.
Minister Tunc emphasized that every detail is being meticulously examined to shed light on the incident and ensure accountability for those responsible. The search for Narin lasted 19 days before her lifeless body was discovered by Eğertutmaz Creek. The Governor of Diyarbakır, Murat Zorluoğlu, confirmed that Narin was found dead in a sack on the creek bank, indicating signs of foul play.
