
Devastation of Underwater Mine in Çanakkale

A sea mine containing 200 kilograms of TNT was detected in the North Aegean Sea of Çanakkale, specifically in the Tuzburnu district of Bozcaada. The mine, which was of British origin, posed a significant threat, leading to immediate action from the Coast Guard teams.
Upon receiving the report, the Coast Guard teams swiftly moved to secure the area while the Underwater Defense Command (SAS) teams were deployed to the region. After thorough examination, the mine was successfully detonated and destroyed in a controlled manner, ensuring the safety of the surrounding area.
