Dilan Polat’s First Statement Unveiled: Monthly Income Exposed
Statements from Dilan Polat and Engin Polat were recently revealed following their interrogation at the police station. It was disclosed that Dilan Polat became emotional during the questioning and claimed that accountants were responsible for managing her husband’s involvement in the company’s activities. On the other hand, Engin Polat, whose monthly income was reported to be between 150 and 200 thousand liras, denied the accusations, stating that the change in address was solely for the purpose of enrolling their children in a new school.
A total of 24 individuals, including Dilan Polat, Engin Polat, and their immediate relatives, have been detained in connection with an investigation into charges of money laundering, organizing a criminal group, document forgery, and violations of tax laws. Following their procedures at the police station, 18 of the suspects were sent to the courthouse earlier today.
Details of the statements made by some of the detainees, who remained in police custody for four days, have also come to light. One of the questions posed to Dilan Polat and Engin Polat revolved around their decision to change their address shortly before the operation. The couple explained that the move was motivated by their children’s educational needs and reiterated their monthly income figures.
In regards to the testimony given by Dilan Polat, she maintained her composure throughout the proceedings, except when she burst into tears. She explained that her role in the company was primarily focused on advertising and that her wife and the accounting department were responsible for managing financial transactions.
Contrarily, Engin Polat firmly refuted the allegations, claiming that his previous company went bankrupt but insisted that he and his wife did not engage in any corrupt activities. Furthermore, Sezgin Polat, Engin’s father, rejected the accusations as well, arguing that their lawyer, Ahmet Gün, had handled all legal matters. It is worth noting that Gün, who was also detained as part of the investigation, declared a monthly income of 300 thousand liras and asserted that he solely acted as a legal representative for the companies.
