Minister of Health Hakan Dinçyürek Responds to Allegations of Baby’s Death in Neonatal Unit
Minister of Health Hakan Dinçyürek has addressed the recent allegations surrounding the death of a baby in the neonatal intensive care unit of Dinçyürek Emergency Hospital. In a written statement, Dinçyürek assured the public that the health conditions of all babies in the unit are being closely monitored and that necessary actions will be taken following administrative and judicial investigations.
Expressing deep sadness over the incident, Dinçyürek stated that an investigation has been launched, with a deputy chief physician assigned to look into the matter in detail. The incident has also been reported to the police, who have initiated their own investigation alongside the Ministry’s internal inquiry.
An autopsy will be performed on the deceased baby, and the health status of the other babies in the unit is being closely monitored. The healthcare workers on duty during the incident have been suspended until further clarification.
Dinçyürek emphasized that every precaution is being taken to ensure the safety and health of the children under their care. He pledged to personally contact the families affected by the tragedy and provide them with accurate information.
The Minister concluded by expressing his condolences to the family of the deceased baby and reassured the public that they will be kept informed of any developments in a transparent manner. He urged for mercy for the deceased baby and emphasized that regardless of who is found responsible in the investigations, necessary actions will be taken.
