In a recent statement, Director of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, expressed Turkey’s unwavering commitment to peace amidst Israel’s aggressive tactics and spread of misinformation. Altun emphasized that despite Israel’s attempts to divert attention from their war crimes against civilians, Turkey stands firm in its support for Palestine.
Altun did not mince words when addressing the disinformation campaigns led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Eli Cohen. He highlighted their efforts to spread lies not only about their attacks on Palestinians, but also about Turkey. Altun stated, “Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has never been afraid to tell the truth, and will continue not to be afraid.”
Referring to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, Altun asserted that no amount of disinformation can cover up the reality of the situation. He called out Netanyahu and other extremist elements for their involvement in occupation, ethnic cleansing, and war, and emphasized their lack of interest in pursuing peace.
In the face of continued aggression, Altun called for global unity in working towards a just and equitable peace. He condemned the crimes committed by Israeli politicians against Palestinian civilians and reaffirmed Turkey’s dedication to peace, stating, “We are determined to do everything we can for peace despite Israel’s systematic warmongering and disinformation campaigns. Türkiye will never abandon Palestine.”
