Discounted natural gas rates now available.
President Erdoğan’s announcement of free natural gas consumption for homes, prayer houses, and cemevis has been published in the Official Gazette, making it official. From April 24th to May 31st, natural gas consumption will be free of charge for these establishments. In addition, from April 24th, 2023 to May 1st, 2024, 25 cubic meters of natural gas consumption for kitchen and hot water use will also be free. This initiative is intended to provide relief for individuals and communities struggling with the costs of energy consumption. The Presidential Decree on the matter has been signed by President Erdoğan and made legally binding. This can potentially alleviate financial burdens for many households, religious buildings, and community centers. This move is a positive development, as the prices of natural gas continue to rise globally. Hopefully, similar initiatives will be implemented in other parts of the world where energy consumption costs are high.
