Erzincan Municipality has taken action following allegations of massacres against unattended dogs, stating that the relevant personnel have been dismissed.
In a statement released on the municipality’s social media accounts, it was revealed that on February 3, 2025, after news and images of street animals surfaced on social media and news channels, an immediate administrative and legal process was initiated.
The municipality stated, “In order to ensure a thorough investigation until the completion of the administrative and legal process, the Veterinary Affairs Director and relevant personnel have been relieved of their duties. The process will be conducted transparently.”
The municipality’s swift response to these allegations aims to address concerns and ensure the protection of animals in Erzincan.
