Doğancı Action Committee’s Warning Protest Calls Attention to Traffic Accidents
The Doğancı Action Committee has taken a bold step to draw attention to the high number of traffic accidents in the area. They have highlighted the bridge at the entrance of the village as a major concern, stating that it is not suitable for the flow of traffic.
Mehmet Bicen, speaking on behalf of the committee, emphasized that the bridge is positioned opposite the main road, urging for it to be re-planned and improved. If the authorities fail to address this issue within one month, the villagers have expressed their intention to take matters into their own hands.
In addition to the bridge, Bicen also called for the installation of lighting on the dark and winding Taşpınar-Doğancı road, where fatal accidents have occurred. The committee is prepared to take action themselves if necessary.
The Headman of Doğancı, Ali Çölaşan, revealed that they have submitted numerous appeals to the ministries regarding the problematic bridge. He emphasized the need for a concrete study and resolution to be implemented promptly.
With the safety of residents and motorists at stake, it is imperative that the concerns raised by the Doğancı Action Committee are addressed swiftly and effectively. Failure to do so could result in further accidents and potential loss of life in the community.
