Dozens of Rockets Launched from Lebanon into Haifa
The Israeli army has reported successfully intercepting rockets launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon, preventing some from reaching their intended targets in Haifa. According to the statement, a total of 85 rockets were launched in the first wave, with some hitting specific areas in the city and causing damage.
In a subsequent wave, 20 more rockets were launched towards Haifa, with a portion being intercepted by air defense systems while others managed to hit residential areas, resulting in further damage. The Israeli police confirmed that rocket debris from the intercepted projectiles fell across 150 different locations in Haifa.
As a result of the rocket attacks, a 71-year-old woman sustained minor injuries, as reported by the Israeli emergency service, Magen David Adom. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to exchange fire, raising concerns about further escalations in the region.
