Road Closure for 50th Anniversary Rehearsal Ceremony
In preparation for the 50th anniversary of the 20 July Peace and Freedom Day, a rehearsal ceremony will be held which will result in road closures in Lefkoşa. The road route between the Honda Traffic Lights Junction, Altınbaş Petrol Traffic Lights Junction, and Gönyeli Roundabout will be closed to traffic flow tomorrow.
The closure will be in effect from 07:00 until the end of the ceremony rehearsal. The General Directorate of Police has advised drivers not to park their vehicles on the specified roads to avoid obstructing traffic flow. It is also important for drivers to adhere to traffic signs and signals during the ceremony rehearsal.
For alternative routes, drivers coming from different directions have been informed of transportation options. Drivers coming from the Famagusta direction and heading to the Near East University can use transportation via Near East Boulevard and Nicosia Northern Ring Road.
Those coming from the Güzelyurt direction and wanting to go to Lefkoşa can utilize the Alayköy-Metehan Ring Road or Gönyeli circle and Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Street (State Hospital).
Drivers coming from Kyrenia and heading to Nicosia have the option to take the Boğazköy-Dikmen road or pass through the Nicosia Organized Industrial Zone and Altınbaş Petrol Traffic Lights Junction.
It is important for all drivers to follow the designated alternative routes and plan their journey accordingly to avoid any inconvenience during the road closures.
