Provincial Police Crack Down on Drifting in Traffic
The Provincial Police Department Traffic Supervision Branch has taken a stand against reckless driving behavior known as “drifting”, which poses a danger to both drivers and pedestrians. In a recent social media post, the police announced their crackdown on individuals who engage in drifting, causing discomfort to the environment.
Several drivers were caught drifting in the city center by police teams, leading to serious consequences. A total of 46,392 pounds in penalties were issued to the drivers, in accordance with the relevant articles of the Traffic Law. Furthermore, the drivers had their licenses suspended for 2 months, and their vehicles were banned from participating in traffic.
In addition to the financial penalties and vehicle restrictions, the drivers were also charged with “jeopardizing traffic safety”. This move by the police is aimed at promoting safer driving habits and reducing the risk of accidents on the roads.
Drivers are reminded to always follow traffic rules and regulations, and to avoid engaging in dangerous driving behaviors that put themselves and others at risk. The police will continue to monitor and enforce traffic laws to ensure the safety of all road users.
