
Driver in Tokat Fined 33,339 Lira for Ignoring “Stop” Warning

A driver in Düzce, Turkey, recently faced serious consequences after attempting to flee from police during a routine traffic stop. The incident took place in the city center when police officers attempted to pull over a suspicious vehicle. Instead of stopping, the driver ignored the warning and sped away.
After a brief pursuit, the vehicle was finally halted at the TEDAŞ Junction. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the driver had a blood alcohol level of 1.70 promil. As a result, the driver was slapped with a hefty administrative fine of 33,339 liras. Furthermore, their license was confiscated for a duration of 2 years and 8 months.
Not only did the driver face financial penalties and lose the privilege of driving, but they also found themselves in legal trouble for damaging property during the reckless attempt to flee from the police.
