Driver seriously injured after kitchen cylinder in trunk catches fire in Kırıkkale
A kitchen cylinder caught fire in the trunk of a moving car in Kırıkkale, leading to a horrifying incident. The driver of the vehicle, who attempted to escape from the flames, ended up jumping onto the road and sustaining serious injuries in the process.
The incident occurred on Sanayi Mahallesi 1338th Street. Reportedly, the kitchen cylinder in the trunk of the Fiat brand car, bearing the license plate 06 GHJ 15 and being driven by CK (59), caught fire while the vehicle was in motion. In a desperate bid to save himself, the driver leaped out of the car engulfed in flames. The out-of-control vehicle proceeded to crash into the wall of a nearby house, prompting the dispatch of health, fire brigade, and police teams to the scene.
Following initial first aid, the severely injured driver was rushed to the hospital. His current health condition is deemed critical. Rapid response from the Kırıkkale Municipality Fire Department led to the prompt containment of the fire. The vehicle and the house sustained material damages as a result of the blaze. Subsequent to investigations conducted by the police at the scene, the vehicle was towed away to the parking lot.
This unfortunate incident serves as a chilling reminder of the dangers associated with kitchen cylinders in vehicles and the potential risks they pose.
