Incident in Kemalpaşa: Driver Refuses Alcohol Test
Late at night in the Kemalpaşa Neighborhood, a traffic enforcement team stopped a light commercial vehicle with the license plate 16 BGN 845. The driver, identified as 45-year-old Sertaç K., was asked to undergo an alcohol test.
However, Sertaç K. refused to comply with the breathalyzer test, claiming he did not possess a valid driver’s license. Despite the officers’ attempts to persuade him, he continued to resist, stating, "I will not blow. You are doing wrong. I’m trying to be a clean person." He expressed his frustration about the situation, indicating that he believed he was being treated unfairly.
As a result of his refusal to take the alcohol test, Sertaç K. was penalized significantly. A fine of 26,557 TL was issued for declining the breathalyzer, along with an additional 18,678 TL for driving without a license.
This incident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety and the importance of compliance with traffic regulations.
