Drunk Driver Caught: ‘Oh, Shoot Well and Let’s Be Famous’
The incident in the Taşpazar District of Aksaray has raised concerns about drunk driving once again. The driver of a suspicious vehicle, with license plate 68 AJ 134, was stopped by traffic registration and inspection branch directorate teams on Ebulfeyz Elçibey Street at midnight. The driver, Orhan Ç., was found to have 1.02 promil alcohol in his system during the alcohol examination.
As a result, the traffic teams initiated criminal proceedings against the driver and fined him 4 thousand 64 TL for drunk driving. Additionally, his driver’s license was confiscated for 6 months. The driver’s nonchalant response to the situation caught the attention of the media, as he was seen smiling and encouraging a journalist to film him, saying, “At least take a good look, brother. Oh, shoot well, let’s get famous like this, shoot well like that.”
Following the incident, the driver’s vehicle was handed over to a relative who was called to the scene, while the driver himself was taken to Aksaray Police Station for questioning after a medical check-up at Aksaray Training and Research Hospital Emergency Service.
