Earthquake victims in Sevigen distrust Kılıçdaroğlu’s promises.

Former Minister of State and Republican People’s Party (CHP) member Mehmet Sevigen has stated that the earthquake victims did not believe CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s promise of free housing in the earthquake area. In an interview with CNN TÜRK, Sevigen responded to the reactions of the earthquake victims and stated that Kılıçdaroğlu and his team are not doing enough. He further noted that the CHP has lost its chance of winning as long as it is with the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP).

Sevigen criticized Kılıçdaroğlu’s delayed response to the victims and stated that even before Tekirdağ Municipality, one of those who reacted to him, Kemal Bey should have come out and said this. He emphasized that the people who voted for the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) voted because they believed what President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would do.

Furthermore, Sevigen harshly responded to the reactions on social media and stated that those who tweeted and made those videos did not go and vote for the CHP, as most of them are abroad or have fled due to the hostility of President Erdoğan.

Sevigen evaluated Kılıçdaroğlu’s ‘I am here’ statement one day after the election and viewed it as a threat to their friends. He said that this attitude had scared people and asked if they would take revenge on those who came.

In conclusion, Sevigen stated that the CHP has lost its chances of winning as long as it is with the HDP, as they cannot distance themselves from terrorism.
