Ece Gürel Found Alive After Disappearing in Istanbul’s Belgrade Forest
Ece Gürel, a landscape architect from Istanbul, went missing on Sunday, March 2, after stating that she would be heading to Belgrade Forest from the Gültepe neighborhood in Kağıthane. After being missing for 4 days, Gürel was discovered in a steep forest area in Maslak and was immediately taken to Acıbadem Hospital for treatment.
Gürel, who had suffered from hypothermia due to being exposed to cold temperatures for an extended period of time, is currently receiving medical care and is reported to be in stable condition. Doctors who treated Gürel revealed that she had to undergo intensive treatment to recover.
Following a large-scale search operation involving numerous search and rescue teams, Gürel’s mobile phone and personal belongings were found 2 kilometers away from where she was located. After days of intense efforts, Gürel was finally located in the forest area in the early hours of the morning.
The news of Gürel’s rescue has brought a sense of relief to her family, friends, and the community. Her recovery journey continues as she receives ongoing medical attention in intensive care.
