Edirne Governorship Discusses 2024 Investment Program
The Provincial Coordination Board meeting, where the 2024 investment program was discussed by the Edirne Governorship, was recently held at the Devecihan Cultural Center. Chaired by Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer, the meeting was attended by district governors, mayors, and representatives of various institutions and organizations. Governor Sezer highlighted that there are a total of 305 small, medium, and large-scale projects included in the 2024 investment programs of public institutions in Edirne.
Governor Sezer shared that a substantial amount of 18 billion TL has been allocated for projects in previous years, with a further 7 billion TL expected to be utilized in the upcoming year. He also emphasized that there has already been a 31% cash realization in the projects that have been carried out until the end of the second investment period.
The distribution of the implemented projects by districts was also highlighted, with the majority of projects being in the city center. Furthermore, the investments were categorized based on sectors, with transportation and communication receiving the highest expenditure followed by agriculture, other public services, health, education, and tourism sectors.
Looking ahead, Governor Sezer expressed his optimism for an even faster progress in the second period of the projects. He urged all involved parties to actively follow their works and projects, aiming for a higher rate of completion and cash realization by the end of the year. Monthly follow-ups by the provincial planning directorate will continue to ensure the successful implementation of these projects.
