Financial Literacy Training for Women in Cyprus
As part of the Calculative Cyprus Financial Literacy Project, a training program on “Budgeting and Money Management” was organized for women in partnership with the Businesswomen Association and Mesarya Municipality.
The first session of the training program took place on Friday, January 19, at 16.00 at Akdoğan Youth Center. The aim of the program was to raise awareness about financial literacy and educate participants on financial concepts, goals, budgeting, saving, spending, and investing.
During the interactive training, participants learned about creating a budget, analyzing and controlling expenses, and were provided with tips on how to manage their money effectively.
The “Cyprus Financial Literacy Project” is sponsored by the Northern Cyprus Banks Association and conducted by KMC Consultancy. The project aims to promote financial literacy in society and develop the capacity of the target audience to understand financial concepts, budgeting, money management, and financial products and services.
The initiative seeks to empower women in understanding and managing their finances and contribute to their financial independence and well-being.
Overall, the training program has been well-received and is expected to have a positive impact on the financial literacy of women in Cyprus.
