Effects of Heavy Rainfall on Van’s Daily Life
The Metropolitan Municipality has issued a statement regarding the heavy downpour that hit the province, causing floods and inundations in the Saray district. The intense rainfall started yesterday and escalated in some areas, leading to overflowing streams and extensive damage to houses, vehicles, and gardens.
In response to the situation, municipal teams have been deployed to work on draining the water and mud from affected houses and streets. The priority now is to restore normalcy and assist those affected by the flooding.
Saray District Governor, Eyüp Gürdal, personally visited the flood-hit area in Karahisar Neighborhood to assess the damage caused by the heavy rain. He inspected the houses and barns that were affected by the flood, gathering information from the muhtar and local residents to better understand the situation on the ground.
Efforts are currently underway to provide relief and support to the residents impacted by the flooding in the Saray district. The municipality is working tirelessly to mitigate the effects of the downpour and ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
