Efforts to Ensure Murderers Are Tried and Punished for Possible Intent – BRTK
A march took place from Famagusta to Nicosia in preparation for the trial of the Isias Hotel, which was destroyed in the February 6 earthquake that claimed the lives of 72 individuals, including 35 from the Famagusta Turkish Maarif College convoy. The march, which began in Adıyaman in January and will continue on April 26, was organized by the Champion Angels Keeping Alive Association under the slogan “Shed Light on Justice.”
Led by Ruşen Karakaya, the President of the Champion Angels Keeping Alive Association, participants demanded that the defendants be tried for possible intent in front of the Nicosia Martyrs’ Monument. Karakaya expressed determination in seeking justice for the victims of the tragedy, stating that they will continue their efforts until the perpetrators are held accountable.
During the march, Karakaya emphasized the importance of bringing the perpetrators to justice, highlighting the pain and loss experienced by the families of the victims. The association vows to present all the facts to the 3rd High Criminal Court in Adıyaman and ensure that justice prevails.
The march concluded with a statement from Karakaya in front of the Nicosia Martyrs’ Monument, where he reaffirmed their commitment to pursuing justice and holding the responsible parties accountable. The association plans to continue their fight for justice in Adıyaman next Thursday.
