Eid al-Adha celebrations conclude after four days – BRTK
After the conclusion of Eid al-Adha celebrations, families and friends in Cyprus gathered to visit elders, enjoy holiday treats, and set festive tables. This time-honored tradition brought loved ones together to share in the joy and spirit of the holiday.
In addition to the customary festivities, citizens took the time to pay their respects to lost relatives by visiting gravesites, offering prayers, and leaving flowers as a sign of remembrance and respect.
Throughout the holiday period, the General Directorate of Police remained active and on duty, ensuring the safety and security of the public around the clock.
Meanwhile, municipal services continued without interruption, as municipalities worked diligently to provide essential services to residents during the holiday season.
Amidst the celebrations, Ercan Airport remained busy, welcoming and seeing off 878 aircraft and thousands of passengers, including scheduled, charter, and additional flights. This bustling activity continued for 10 days, covering the duration of Eid al-Adha and beyond.
Overall, the holiday season in Cyprus was filled with joy, togetherness, and a sense of community as families and friends came together to celebrate and honor traditions old and new.
