Eid Prayer Held at Tokyo Mosque

Muslims in Tokyo and surrounding areas gathered at the Tokyo Mosque to celebrate Eid al-Adha, one of the most important festivals in the Islamic calendar. The Tokyo Mosque, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Religious Affairs, hosted a large number of Muslims from different Asian and African countries for the special occasion.
From the early hours of the morning, the mosque was filled with Muslims of all ages coming together to observe the Eid prayer. The streets surrounding the Tokyo Mosque were packed with crowds eager to join in the prayer and festivities.
Both inside the mosque and in the courtyard, a sea of worshippers stood in line to offer their prayers. A designated section for women was also set up within the mosque campus to ensure everyone could participate in the prayers.
Leading the Eid prayer was Imam Hatibi Adem Levent, who delivered a sermon in Arabic, Turkish, Japanese, and English. In his message, Imam Levent highlighted the importance of unity and brotherhood amongst Muslim nations during Eid al-Adha.
Following the prayer, the community gathered to celebrate and take photos in and around the mosque. The festive atmosphere continued as people exchanged greetings and well wishes for the holiday.
Eid al-Adha is a time of reflection, prayer, and community for Muslims around the world, and the celebration at the Tokyo Mosque was a testament to the unity and diversity of the Islamic faith in Japan.
