“Eleven Injured in Vehicle Accident, Including Driver and Ten Soldiers”
Driver and 10 soldiers were injured after a prison transport vehicle overturned in Bergama, Turkey. The accident happened at Küçükkaya location, where the vehicle carrying prison personnel with license plate 35 DC 8199 fell into the stream at Bergama Bayatlı Junction. According to reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to the slippery road caused by heavy rain. Police, fire brigade, and medical teams were immediately dispatched to the site after receiving notification of the accident. Out of the 11 people involved, four managed to get out of the vehicle themselves, while seven had to be rescued by firefighters and handed over to the medical teams. The injured were taken to Bergama Necla-Mithat Öztüre State Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. An investigation into the accident has been launched by the authorities.
