Yoga Session Held in Front of Baku’s Maiden Tower
Baku, June 23 – A special yoga session took place in the historic heart of Baku on June 19, 2023, in front of the iconic Maiden Tower. The event, organized by the Embassy of India in Azerbaijan and supported by the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve, aimed to promote the practice of yoga and wellness.
The Ambassador of India, Mr. Sridharan Madhusudhanan, expressed his gratitude to the Icherisheher administration for their unwavering support. He emphasized the harmony between the historical setting and the practice of yoga, highlighting the importance of preserving cultural heritage while encouraging healthy lifestyles.
The event saw the participation of key individuals, including Mr. Vugar Huseynli, the Director of the Scientific and Cultural Center of the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve, and Ms. Beyaz Sadikhova, the Head of the Department for Mass Events of Icherisheher.
The yoga session was led by Mr. Kanan Mammadov, a seasoned practitioner from The Art of Living. With his expertise, he guided the participants through various yoga postures and breathing exercises, urging them to delve deeper into their practice.
