Historic Teknofest in Northern Cyprus Attracts Global Attention
In a significant milestone for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the Teknofest National Technology event has set a new record, drawing an impressive 225,000 visitors from around the globe. The event, hailed as the largest in the history of the island, reflects a growing enthusiasm for technology and innovation in the region.
Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, emphasized the monumental achievement during his address, stating, "We have realized the biggest activity in the history of the island." He attributed the significant turnout to the collaborative spirit of the Turkish Cypriots and the international community.
Kacır took to social media to share his excitement about the event, highlighting the "wind of national technology" that swept through TRNC during Teknofest. The vibrant atmosphere and diverse participants showcased the advancements and potential of technology in the region.
In his statements, the Minister expressed gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, acknowledging his continuous support in encouraging youth participation in such technology festivals. Kacır also recognized the efforts of those involved from the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the various stakeholders who contributed to the event’s success.
