Emergency Landing of Plane from Sabiha Gökçen to Riyadh
A Pegasus Airlines flight bound from Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Riyadh made an emergency landing at Antalya Airport after some passengers reported hearing noises coming from the cargo section and a person shouting for help. The Airbus 321 aircraft, registered as TC-RDG, took off from Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 21:15 and, while flying off the coast of Cyprus, passengers alerted the flight crew about the situation in the cargo section.
After discussions with the pilot, the decision was made to land the plane at Antalya Airport where security measures were immediately implemented. Police, fire brigade, and medical teams were deployed upon the plane’s arrival at 23:45. An investigation into the cargo section is currently underway.
