Emine Erdoğan Introduces Anatolian Cultural Heritage to Leading Wives in Antalya
Emine Erdoğan recently hosted the spouses of heads of state and government from foreign countries to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) and engage in various activities together. As part of these activities, Emine Erdoğan took the leading wives on a visit to the “Anatolian” exhibition, showcasing products created in Maturation Institutes that are inspired by the cultural motifs of Anatolia.
Among the attendees were the wives of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Presidency member Mirelaovic, the spouse of the President of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Zerrin Üsel, and the wife of Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammed Mustafa. Together, they closely examined products in various fields such as clothing, processing, embroidery, weaving, handicrafts, woodwork, ceramics, metals, and jewelry, showing admiration for the handmade craftsmanship.
During the visit, Emine Erdoğan provided insights into the embroidery techniques and usage areas of the exhibited products. The leading wives also showed a keen interest in workshops that produced silk cocoon fabric. Additionally, they had the opportunity to taste Turkish coffee and delight while enjoying the “Anatolia” fashion show, featuring 100 garments designed for the Republic’s 100th anniversary.
In a social media post, Emine Erdoğan expressed her excitement about exploring the cultural heritage showcased at the Maturation Institutes during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. She emphasized the importance of building bridges between different cultures and geographies through such initiatives.
Furthermore, Emine Erdoğan praised the craftsmanship and elegance displayed in the “Anatolia” collection by designer Ozgur Masur, which pays homage to Anatolia’s rich history and culture.
