EMU Students’ Donation to Gazimağusa State Hospital Children’s Department
EMU Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Students Donate Books and Toys to Gazimağusa State Hospital Children’s Department
Students from the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Tourism Faculty, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department recently made a heartwarming donation to the Gazimağusa State Hospital Children’s Department. The students presented books, toy bookshelves, and toy cabinets to the young patients receiving treatment at the hospital.
This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of the Eastern Mediterranean Doğa Kindergarten-Primary School Parents’ Association and the Tourism Club under the Social and Cultural Activities Directorate at EMU. The students visited the Children’s Department of Famagusta State Hospital and distributed gifts to the children in their care.
During the visit, the students gifted a bookcase, a toy cabinet, English and Turkish reading books, and puzzles to the Gazimağusa State Hospital Children’s Department. The aim of this donation was to bring joy and comfort to the young patients during their stay at the hospital.
The visit was made possible with the support of EMU Tourism Faculty Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlkay Yorgancı, Project Coordinator and Social Awareness Center President Nazenin Ruso Kandemir, and Eastern Mediterranean Doğa Kindergarten-Primary School Parents’ Association President and EMU TDM Board Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Ayman. Their dedication to this cause highlights the importance of giving back to the community and supporting those in need.
This kind gesture from the EMU students is a reminder of the positive impact that simple acts of kindness can have on those going through challenging times. It is a testament to the spirit of compassion and generosity that exists within the EMU community.
