204 law enforcement officers have been permanently assigned to 235 schools within the area of responsibility of the Istanbul Police Department. In addition, 1,094 safe education coordination officers will be visiting 2,497 schools across the province to ensure the safety of students and staff.
To enhance security measures, 564 official and civilian teams will be stationed at the entrance and exit hours of 1290 schools throughout the entire education and training period. Traffic measures will also be implemented for service vehicles at 532 points with 338 teams in order to prevent any potential incidents.
Furthermore, Mobile School Teams (MOT) operating in 39 districts of the city will continue their duties in the new academic year. These teams will establish an effective control mechanism in schools and their surroundings, working closely with school administrators to ensure the safety and peace of school environments through shock applications.
With the opening of schools, comprehensive practices will be carried out in school surroundings, public places, school service vehicles, parks, and gardens. The participation of all relevant teams, including the Child-Security-Traffic-Prevention-Narcotics Branch and District Police Department personnel, will be crucial in preventing any potential incidents or negativities in the school environment.
The Istanbul Police Department is committed to ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and school environments, and these measures aim to create a secure learning environment for everyone involved.
