
Enhancing Communication Collaboration between Turkey and Cambodia

Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun recently met with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sok Chenda Sophea, and his delegation at the Directorate of Communications. Altun expressed his delight at hosting Sok Chenda Sophea and emphasized the importance of enhancing relations between Turkey and Cambodia through mutual visits and agreements.
Altun highlighted the significance of cooperation in the field of media, stating that it will have a positive impact on various sectors. He mentioned the collaboration between the Official News Agency of Cambodia and Anadolu Agency (AA) and the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Media and Communication signed in February. This cooperation aims to strengthen friendly relations and foster collaboration in media and communication, including the exchange of information and experiences, combating fake news, public diplomacy, and organizing various activities in the media sector.
Furthermore, Altun emphasized Turkey’s efforts in combating disinformation on a global scale, highlighting the country’s expertise in communication, media, and digitalization. Sok Chenda Sophea expressed his willingness to work closely with Turkey in media and communication, aiming to enhance cooperation and share experiences in this field.
Following the meeting, Fahrettin Altun and Sok Chenda Sophea signed a memorandum of understanding between Turkey and Cambodia, solidifying their commitment to cooperation in the media and communication sector. This partnership is expected to have a positive impact on various areas, including trade, investment, culture, and tourism.
